Cetus

Cetus is a reactor simulator Python package built on the coupled calculation capabilities provided by Cerberus.

While Cerberus is completely code agnostic and simply provides APIs for generic solvers, fields and variables, Cetus uses the Kraken physics solvers as more specific neutronics, thermal hydraulics and fuel behavior solvers to model stationary reactor states and fuel cycles.

Cetus tries to automate the calculation of fuel cycles, evaluation of reactivity coefficients, shutdown margins etc. and the modelling of equilibrium cycles.

Cetus can be utilized as is or it can serve as an example on how to build your own Kraken reactor simulator utilizing the capabilities of Cerberus.
