I'm forwarding a message from the OECD / NEA Data Bank...
The NEA has significantly updated their repository of Serpent-2 models, which were generated through an automated system which converts MCNP inputs directly to functional Serpent-2 inputs. The repository contains ~2600 functional Serpent-2 inputs that are generally found to be in good agreement with the MCNP results. The limitations hindering the accuracy of some models are documented in an NEA working paper.
The initial models were generated using the csg2csg tool and MCNP inputs provided by Steven van der Marck, Andrej Trkov, and Oscar Cabellos. A set of Python scripts were written to augment the output of the csg2csg tool to create a set of working inputs. There are ~2600 functional Serpent-2 inputs and another ~1900 inputs that are not fully functional but can be used as a starting point to generate a working model. The suite covers a broad range of different ICSBEP systems, including those with fissile drivers of high-enrichment uranium (HEU), intermediate enrichment uranium (IEU), low-enrichment uranium (LEU), mixed uranium/plutonium, plutonium only, “special” material (237Np), and 233U. The configurations also cover many different fissile forms such as compound systems, metal systems, solution systems, and “miscellaneous” systems. The suite also covers a variety of thermal, intermediate, fast and mixed spectra systems.
Access to the repository is granted automatically to users who request (and are granted access) to the ICSBEP handbook and Serpent-2 through the NEA Data Bank.
The NEA strongly encourages collaboration and contributions from users.
If you use the NEA GitLab repository in your work, you are encouraged to cite the accompanying working paper:
