Serpent models in the ICSBEP Hand Book

The International Criticality Safety Benchmark Experiment Project (ICSBEP) Hand Book now includes a large number (hundreds) of Serpent models, which can be used for testing and benchmarking. The handbook is managed by the OECD/NEA Data Bank, and can be requested by filling an on-line form:
https://www.oecd-nea.org/tools/iereques ... -1486%2519
With the Hand Book you also get the access to a GitLab repository containing the Serpent models:
https://git.oecd-nea.org/serpent/icsbep

Hi,
Are the models available for people from countries who are not part of the data bank (
https://www.oecd-nea.org/jcms/rni_6530/ ... -workspace)? E.g., I was not allowed access to that gitlab link being from the US.
Thanks!

The full link to the input repository supposed to be:
https://git.oecd-nea.org/serpent/icsbep
However, there is no
icsbep directory in the root repository
https://git.oecd-nea.org/serpent
Is there any other option to access Serpent models from the the ICSBEP Hand Book?

I think this is a question for the NEA Data Bank.

The ICSBEP input repository is available again at:
https://git.oecd-nea.org/serpent/icsbep
Indeed, it was some glitch from the NEA side.

Hello all,
It was a glitch in adding Emil to the repository, the repository never went away!
For what it is worth, the current repository has 1194 functional Serpent inputs in the "iaea" set, 1277 inputs in the "nrg" set, and 112 inputs in the "mosteller" set. There are another ~1900 Serpent inputs that should be usable as a starting point for developing other models.
Obviously there is a lot of overlap between the three sets (so there are ~1300 truly unique models) but I have at least one functional input for the following ICSBEP benchmark types:
HEU-COMP-INTER
HEU-MET-FAST
HEU-MET-INTER
HEU-MET-MIXED
HEU-MET-THERM
HEU-SOL-THERM
IEU-COMP-FAST
IEU-COMP-INTER
IEU-COMP-THERM
IEU-MET-FAST
IEU-SOL-THERM
LEU-COMP-THERM
LEU-SOL-THERM
MIX-COMP-FAST
MIX-COMP-THERM
MIX-MET-FAST
MIX-MET-INTER
MIX-MISC-FAST
MIX-SOL-THERM
PU-COMP-INTER
PU-COMP-MIXED
PU-MET-FAST
PU-MET-INTER
PU-SOL-THERM
SPEC-MET-FAST
U233-MET-FAST
U233-SOL-INTER
U233-SOL-THERM
I'll be publishing an NEA working paper in the near future to discuss the comparison of the Serpent results with the MCNP results, the limitations in my Serpent models, and future work to make it better.
As a final remark, please note that I want this to continue to be a collaborative effort from and for the community, and I fully welcome contributions and corrections!

Andrew, I though it was a generic bug...

I think this is a question for the NEA Data Bank.
Perhaps I mean this question to then be informational: only a sub-set of countries have access to the NEA data bank gitlab, and thus the serpent models. I have access to the handbook.
Anyone out there have an alternative pathway to obtain the serpent models?

Hello again! I am working with my colleagues to add the Serpent models to the ICSBEP handbook distribution. While the models included in the handbook may become out of sync with the "latest and greatest" in the git repository, we will provide the git commit hash so that it is clear which version was released with the handbook (and those versions in the handbook will be updated with future releases).
Unfortunately, at this time, there is not another way to gain access to the git repository without being able to request both Serpent-2.2 and the ICSBEP handbook from the NEA data bank.

Sweet, thanks! Looking forward to when that will be available!
